The training division of Durango Fire and Rescue is responsible for the training of all volunteers of the district, all career firefighters and medics, and our administrative staff. Training includes initial entry level training for our volunteers, initial fire and emergency medical certifications, and constant renewal of certifications. This division is staffed with a chief and two captains for fire and EMS training.
